MM Intelligence Dashboard — World-Class Live Reporting
One always-live dashboard replacing the manual weekly Global Report: constantly-updating numbers, a build-your-own Report Studio with exports, and ask-in-English data exploration.

What & why
Today the Global Ecosystem Report is a 8-tab spreadsheet with 239 metric rows, filled by hand every week from six platforms (see 'The model we're beating' below — the real template is our reference). This project rebuilds it as a living product on our own Cloudflare infrastructure: a Live Pulse screen where every number updates itself continuously; a Report Studio where anyone assembles custom reports and exports branded XLSX/PDF/CSV or schedules them by email; and an Explore surface where the team slices data instantly in the browser or simply asks questions in English. World-class by design, private by design — no third-party BI product ever touches our data.
The model we're beating — today's manual Global Report
Our reference is the real MelindaMaria_GlobalReport.xlsx template (kept in the project's reporting-dashboard-reference/ folder): one workbook, filled in by hand every week from six different platforms. It's a strong report — the dashboard rebuilds it as a living product where the numbers fill themselves in, every hour, forever.

The north star — three pillars
① Live Pulse
The Global Report as an always-on screen. Every metric refreshes itself continuously — walk past it any hour of any day and it's current. Alerts fire when a number moves abnormally.
② Report Studio
Anyone builds a custom report by picking metrics, dimensions, and date ranges — then one-click exports a branded XLSX, CSV, or PDF, or schedules it to arrive by email every Monday.
③ Explore + Ask AI
Ad-hoc exploration at desk speed: slice any dataset in the browser instantly, or just ask in English — "compare hoops vs. studs by month" — and get the chart plus the query behind it.
Mockups — the Global Report, reborn as an app
Same tabs as the spreadsheet — 📊 Dashboard, 🛍 Shopify, 🌐 Edgemesh, 📧 Klaviyo, 🤝 Ambassadors, 📱 Social, 📈 Trends — but alive: clean Google-style surfaces, numbers that fill themselves in, and Claude docked on the right for chat, code and report generation.
Mockup 1 · The 📊 Dashboard tab + Claude docked. The workbook's tabs live on as the app's navigation — same names, same order, zero retraining. The at-a-glance table is the old Dashboard sheet with WoW/MoM chips that color themselves and 8-week sparklines per metric. On the right, the Claude panel takes a genuinely complex ask — a full Q3 board report across six sources with an exception flag, exec summary, exports and a recurring schedule — and shows its work: progress ticks, the audit-logged SQL, and the finished files.
Mockup 2 · The 🛍 Shopify tab. The sheet's REVENUE and ORDERS sections become sectioned Material tables with the same metrics — Gross, Discounts, Returns, Net — except every cell is clickable down to the orders behind it, and the whole tab exports in one tap. Bottom right: Claude proactively flags what a spreadsheet never could — a discount trend worth a question — and offers the follow-up.
Mockup 3 · Report generation, start to finish. One sentence to Claude rebuilds the entire Global Report — all 8 tabs, all 239 metrics, every comparison column — as a branded PDF + XLSX, then schedules itself for Mondays at 8am. The right side is the artifact: cover, KPI blocks, charts, and an executive summary written in MM voice. The ~3–4 weekly hours of copy-paste become zero.
The full set — 17 more views, tab by tab
Every tab of the workbook gets at least two living views. Together with the three flagship mockups above, this is the 20-mockup picture of the finished product.
📊 Dashboard — YTD / YoY scorecard. The Dashboard sheet's yearly columns as a standing scorecard — 52-week trend per metric, always current, never re-keyed.
📊 Dashboard — alert center + instant diagnosis. Alerts fire themselves; the docked Claude window turns any alert into a diagnosis in one question.
🛍 Shopify — product & collection drill. What the sheet never had: product-level truth beneath the revenue rows, one click deep.
🛍 Shopify — discount intelligence with Claude. The Claude window answers the question behind the number — including the uncomfortable ones.
🌐 Edgemesh — traffic & acquisition. Sessions, sources and the new-vs-returning split update hourly instead of weekly.
🌐 Edgemesh — live conversion funnel. The funnel the weekly sheet could only imply — every stage measured, every drop-off clickable.
📧 Klaviyo — campaigns vs benchmarks. Open, click and revenue per campaign scored against real benchmarks automatically.
📧 Klaviyo — flow doctor. Claude reads the flow data, finds the leak, and writes the test plan — inside the dashboard.
🤝 Ambassadors — unified creator leaderboard. ShopMy and LoudCrowd finally share one leaderboard, with revenue bars and a commission column ready for v5 data.
🤝 Ambassadors — attribution & commission. The LoudCrowd v5 data made visual: how every creator sale was credited and what commission is owed.
📱 Organic Social — four platforms, one wall. Followers, reach and engagement across IG, TikTok, FB and YouTube — the 51-metric social tab as living cards.
📱 Organic Social — content intelligence. Claude mines the winners for patterns and hands creative a brief — data to direction in one ask.
📈 Weekly Trend — every series, no 8-week ceiling. The trend tab's hand-entered week columns become self-extending small multiples for all 19 series (and any metric you pin).
📈 Trends — forecast-ready. Actuals meet a seasonal forecast band — the Product Forecasting project renders straight into this view when it lands.
📋 Data Sources — pipeline health. The old pull-instructions tab becomes a live status board: last sync, cadence, and an honest health light per source.
🗂 Report Studio — the saved-reports library. Every recurring report becomes a card: scheduled, exportable, pausable. The Global Report is just the first resident.
✦ Ask anything — cross-tab intelligence. The endgame: a question that spans four tabs and a forecast, answered with a chart, a range, a named risk and a next step — math shown on demand.
🖥 Mission Control — the giant global data wall. The wall. Every zone of the business on one screen — KPI ticker, live revenue race, channel mix, funnel, the Watchtower alert feed, one card per platform, and Claude narrating the day along the bottom. Built for the office TV: it cycles, it streams, and any zone taps through to its full tab.

The plan — step by step
Phase 0 — Scope lock (4h): walk the 239-metric catalog with Ops & Marketing, confirm owners, cadences, role views, and the launch metric set
Phase 1 — Data layer (28h): cron ETL Workers per source (ShipHero, Shopify, Klaviyo, Edgemesh, ShopMy, LoudCrowd) filling D1 metric marts + R2 history, dead-man's-switch monitored — the pattern already proven on three connectors
Phase 2 — Live Pulse (18h): the always-on dashboard — KPI tiles, intraday-vs-last-week race charts, channel mix, anomaly alerts, streaming updates via SSE
Phase 3 — Report Studio (20h): metric/dimension/date report builder, branded XLSX-PDF-CSV exports, scheduled email digests — the old Global Report becomes a saved report that fills itself
Phase 4 — Explore + Ask-AI (16h): DuckDB-WASM in-browser exploration plus Claude natural-language questions behind a read-only SQL guard with a full audit log
Phase 5 — Hardening & rollout (12h): role-based views, export/AI audit trail, number-verification against known ground truth, hub guide + team training
Reasoning & trade-offs
Privacy is the architecture: everything runs in MM's own Cloudflare account — rejected Tableau/PowerBI/Looker on cost AND on principle (our data stays ours)
Cutting edge where it counts: DuckDB-WASM puts a real analytics database inside the browser tab (instant slicing, data never leaves the page); SSE streaming makes 'constantly updating' literal
Only ONE new paid service (Claude API for Ask-AI, ~$10-30/mo est.); every other component is open-source or already on our plan
98-hour estimate is David's (one week at 14-hr days) — phases above sum to it and each phase ships something usable on its own
