What & why

Kling ships an official remote connector (kling.ai/mcp): text-to-video, image-to-video, text/image-to-image, task polling and credit checks — sign in with a Kling account. Decision: we are adding it. The known trade-offs are documented below so nobody is surprised by billing behavior.

The plan — step by step

Choose/confirm the Kling account (credits are personal-workspace only for now — decide whose account funds it)
Org admin adds the custom connector URL https://kling.ai/mcp in Claude settings
Connect + sign in with the Kling account; run who_am_i to verify models and credit state
Test one text-to-video and one image-to-video generation; download results promptly (URLs expire in 24h)
Write the hub guide page with a credit-cost note, then regenerate the downloadables

Reasoning & trade-offs

Overlap is real: Higgsfield already offers Kling models with our credit-protection skill — Kling-direct is for Kling-native billing, newest models and features

Caveats (verified from Kling's guide): paid personal-workspace credits only, no team workspace yet, bonus credits excluded, 5 QPS, 24-hour result URLs
