Canto Tagging — Record a Skill
Record a reusable Claude skill that tags, keywords and albums Canto assets to MM conventions — so any teammate gets batch-consistent metadata without manual clicking.

What & why
The Canto connector already has the write tools (add tags, add keywords, add to album, set custom fields). What's missing is the recipe: MM's tagging taxonomy and the exact steps, captured once as a recorded Claude skill. Then 'tag this week's shoot' produces identical, on-convention metadata no matter who asks.
The plan — step by step
- Document the tagging taxonomy with the creative team: required tags, keyword patterns, album rules, custom fields
- Draft the skill with skill-creator, encoding the taxonomy + the Canto tool sequence (writes stay confirm-gated)
- Test on one recent shoot batch; compare against hand-tagged assets
- Refine, publish to the team, add it to the hub's skills pages + regenerate downloadables
Reasoning & trade-offs
Consistency is the whole point — 19k assets with drift-free metadata makes every future Canto search better
Zero new infrastructure: connector writes already exist and are confirm-gated; this is packaging, not building
